With our user-friendly platform, we offer tutoring sessions perfectly tailored to different learning styles and needs. What is Lumi Learning?Our tutoring website provides free academic support to students of all ages in elementary and middle schools. Our goal is to help students succeed through personalized tutoring sessions in a variety of subjects.

Where are you based out of?Lumi Learning is based in Hinsdale, Illinois. All of our tutors attend Hinsdale Central High School, a high-performing public school in the suburbs of Chicago. This gives us unique insight into the classes and curriculums taught in D181, D86, and the surrounding areas. However, due to the online nature of our sessions we are more than happy to tutor anyone from any location.

Who can use the tutoring services?Our services are available to all students grades 1st-8th, regardless of their background or academic level. Whether you need help with your math homework or really don't get biology, we are here to support you and assist in your academic journey.

Can I cancel my session?Yes, through the online booking portal sessions are able to be cancelled or modified for no charge. We ask that you make any changes or cancellations at least 24 hours beforehand to allow us to allow as many people as possible to book a session.

Is the tutoring really free?Yes! Our services are entirely free of charge thanks to the high school volunteers who help make it possible.

Who are the tutors?Our tutors are dedicated volunteers, primarily high school students, who have all found academic success throughout their endeavors. Each tutor is carefully vetted and trained to ensure high-quality support.

What subjects do you offer tutoring in?We offer tutoring in a wide range of subjects, from math, science, social studies, languages, and more. We also are available to help prepare for standardize tests and work on any homework you may be struggling with.

How do I sign up for tutoring?To sign up, navigate to the booking page on our site and set up the time and date that best works for you. From there, we will match you with a tutor best suited to fit your needs.
