At Lumi Learning, safety and privacy is our top priority. To ensure that all of our students and tutors stay safe at all times, we have implemented the following safety and privacy measures within our organization and our platform.

Online Studies

Session Recordings

Our platform includes the optional add-on of Session Recordings, which provides parents with even more peace-of-mind in knowing that they can review a full video of their student's session upon its conclusion. These recordings are provided securely, promptly deleted, and only accessible by Lumi Learning's Leadership Team to maintain the highest standard of privacy and security.

Background Checks

All tutors who are above the age of 18 are required to complete a full criminal background check before ever being allowed to tutor with a student at Lumi Learning. This helps us guarantee student safety at all times.

Code of Conduct

Each tutor is required to sign Lumi Learning's Code of Conduct, confirming that a tutor will maintain a professional relationship with students and parents at all times, align with all standards of academic integrity, and maintain confidentiality at all times, along with other things. Data Encryption

Our Booking Platform is encrypted via Wix Bookings, which uses robust, enterprise-grade security measures to safeguard the data of all of our students and parents. Student and parent data is never given to third-party organizations or used in marketing/promotional materials of any kind.

Training Sessions

Once accepted, all tutors undergo a comprehensive training process, where we discuss important elements of providing a safe tutoring environment, including behavior, professionalism, and safety. This guarantees that all tutors understand how they must act while tutoring.
