Get to Know Us
Lumi Learning started with a simple problem: many families across the U.S. couldn't afford tutoring, and free alternatives took weeks or even months to be matched with a tutor. We built an organization to fix that, with an on-demand booking system, tutor training program built around Common Core standards, and a weekly sessions pipeline that now delivers 25+ sessions every week to students from Colorado to Virginia. We're passionate about providing free tutoring because we understand the value that it can provide to students who are struggling, and we believe that no student deserves to struggle silently all because the current tutoring landscape is expensive and inconvenient.
English Tutoring
Our team of trained volunteer tutors is ready to help you succeed in your English classes, whether you're aspiring to be the next Shakespeare or just need a quick review of homonyms. Each session is completely customizable, with common topics including creative writing, vocabulary, grammar, main idea, theme, and text evidence, and we’re also happy to help revise or improve essays you've written.
